No, I am not going crazy, but I what recently learned about bananas is really interesting for your garden en houseplants. I knew roses liked to get cut banana peels as they are very nutricious but I learned your whole garden will flower like never before.
You can cut banana peels in small pieces and put them under shrubs and tree’s, just like that or cover them with a bit of soil and the peels will give all it’s nutrients to the soil and so your garden benefits from it.
You can also make banana peel water. You take 1 liter (2 pints) of tap water, put 2 cut banana peels in cold water and let them rest for about 24 hours., afterwards remove the peels and add another 3 liters (6 pints)of water to the brew. So you have 4 liters (8 pints) to give to your houseplants or to the plants in the garden. Your garden and plants will be very grateful to you.
And it is organic and costs nothing.
I thought this was too good not to share with you.
Have a wonderful week and take care !

Ahhh… the ways of the humble banana! I had no idea they would give nutrients to the plants … shall start saving and repurposing my peels!

I already used them under my climbing roses and they always bloom so good that you can hardly see the green leafs, I didn’t know I could use them with other plants.
