FROZEN

Frost in the garden and a bit of sun, turns the garden into a Winter wonderland.

When I was taking these pictures in my garden my puppy fell through the thin ice cover on the pond, lucky she was able to come out quickly. I wrapped her dry with a big towel and kept her with me wrapped in a fleece blanket. I was shocked as she is tiny (mini Maltese).

Have a great weekend all.

A PEEK IN MY GARDEN

TOO MUCH TO NAME THEM ALL, IN THE BLUE POT YOU CAN SEE A MINI PETUNIA AND THE PLANT IN THE TERRACOTTA POT IS AN AEONIUM, THEY ARE ALL BAKING IN THE SUN

DSC05011

AND ANOTHER VIEW IN THE MIRROR, THE FENCE IS STILL NEW, WHERE THE FENCE IS WE USED TO HAVE A HUGE CONIFER HEDGE BUT OUR NEW NEIGHBOURS WANTED A FENCE AS ON THEIR SIDE THE CONIFERS WERE BROWN, I AM NOT REALLY HAPPY WITH THE FENCE BUT I HOPE THAT IN A FEW YEARS TIME IT WILL BE COVERED IN PLANTS

DSC05015

A FEW SCCULENTS IN A POT, ON THE RIGHT IS AN AUCUBA JAPONICA, ON THE GOUND YOU CAN SEE GERANIUM MACRORHIZUM AND A FEW SMALL DWARF RHODODENDRONS, ON THE LEFT IS A BIG POT WITH A HOSTA IN THAT IS ABOUT TO FLOWER, THERE IS A SMALL LEAFED IVY GOWING AGAINST THE FENCE, HOPING IT WILL COVER THE FENCE REALLY SOON

DSC05010

CLEMATIS HAGLEY HYBRID WILL ALSO COVER A BIT OF THE FENCE

I hope you’ll all have a great weekend !! And thanks for visiting !

Views from my world

So far we have one of the best Springs ever, it is 22 C° in the shade so everythings grows  and grows. We have been working in the garden a lot in the past weeks, on top of that we have the kids cos of the Easter holidays (2 weeks) so by the time it is evening I am total loss, out of it and so on….I am not a Spring chicken anymore and I can feel it ( I can also see that in the mirror ofcourse).

I took some pictures for you.

LAST YEAR I PLANTED A FEW BULBS AND FORGOT TO GIVE THEM A TAG, SO I HAVE A FEW POTS WITH UNKNOWN BULBS IN THEM, THIS ONE IS A TINY NARCISSUS.

MY AUCUBA JAPONICA HAS NEW SHOOTS AND WHEN THE SUN SHINES TROUGH THEY LOOK LIKE FLAMES

DSC04416.JPG

HERE IS ANOTHER SHOT OF MY AUCUBA JAPONICA, HERE YOU CAN SEE IT IS GETTING FLOWERS, THEY ARE NOT BOLD BUT WHEN YOU LOOK CLOSER THEY ARE REALLY PRETTY AND WILL TURN INTO BIG BRIGHT RED GLOSSY BERRIES

I hope you all had a great weekend ! Thanks for your visit !
