As the garden is waking up and the crocusses, snowdrops and narcisses have gone, other plants are taking over. Three of my favorite Spring plants are starting to bloom.
THIS WHITE FLOWERING PIERIS IS ABOUT TO OPEN IT’S BEAUTIFUL LITTLE FLOWERS
EUPHORBIA CHARIACIAS IS ABOUT TO OPEN IT’S YELLOW BELL SHAPED FLOWERS
SKIMMIA JAPONICA KEW GREEN IS ALSO ABOUT TO OPEN IT’S FLOWERS
All tree of these plants bloom for a long time, but the skimmia already gets these flowerbuds in Autumn so I think this is a good small bush for small gardens, all it needs is a bit of accid soil. There are male and female skimmia’s, the males get the flowers, the females get beautiful berries in Autumn, usually red but sometimes bright yellow.
All 3 of these plants attracts bees !
If you have any questions about plants I’ll be happy to answer them.
Have a great week all !
Every time I think I’ve seen all the strange flowers I’ve never heard of, you come up with more! I absolutely love these pictures!

The skimmia and the pieris are quite winterhardy and quite common over here. As for the euphorbia chariacias, it’s a bit tender but very common in France, Italy and Spain, but the warmer Winters we have been having they do very well in my garden.

So very beautiful. We won’t see anything for awhile. we can’t plant until after Mother’s Day and that’s if we’re lucky.

The pieris and the skimmia are quite winterhardy you know. Plants who are not winterhardy we can only plant after mid May.
