We have an arboretum nearby and I visited their rose garden today, alas I was a few weeks too late cos of the hot and dry weather we have been having the last 2 months but I enjoyed it never the less. I really wish I could sent you the smell of the roses , the buzz of the bees and the sound of the birds ! This arboretum has tree’s, shrubs and plants from all over the world and they get busloads of tourists but today it was as if it was my private garden.
YOU CAN SEE THEY WERE PAST THEIR PRIME
BEAUTIFUL SMALL BUDS, FIRST PALE PINK AND THEN AT THE END PALE YELLOW
I LOVE THIS SHAPE, THEY NEVER OPEN WIDER THAN THIS
LOOK AT THESE STAMENS !!
HERE YOU CAN SEE MORE OF THAT BUSH WITH THE CLOSED FLOWERS
SOME OF THEM ALREADY HAD BOTTLES FOR THE BIRDS
ONE STEM LOOKED LIKE A COMPLETE BOUQUET
LOVE THIS COLOUR, WHAT A PITY THEY WERE PAST IT
PRETTY IN PINK
AND WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THIS DARK PURPLE ?!!! I LOVED IT !!!
SMALL BUT PRETTY
SOME OF THEM STILL HAD LOADS OF BUDS
I will definitely go back more often as they had so many other beautiful plants and trees and there are always exhibitions in the garden outside as well as inside.
Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your garden !
Roses are always wonderful, I thank you for taking us with you to see this garden!
