my son asked for a puppy one year for Christmas shortly after our beagle died. I got him one…a stuffed animal dog. He wasn’t too impressed (“I meant a real one mom!) but he still sleeps with it to this day!

😀 Kids are usually not up to the job of caring for an animal like it should, so it usually comes down to mum and if she isn’t really comitted to care for it it is better not to give an animal as a present. A dog/cat is not for Christmas only, it is for life !
