We just came back from a holiday in the South of France. France is one of our neighbouring countries and to go there is about 1100 kilometers.I would advice you not to go there in July and August unless you really have too as it is the summerschoolholiday for the whole of Europe then. But France is amazing and I am not surprised it gets the most tourists in the whole world !!! Personally I prefer the South, the Provence and the Cote d’Azur.
But hey, I think you want the pictures, not my bragging. So here they come.
We visited a special garden, it was the garden of a monastery in Mane ; Jardins de Salagon.

IT WAS DEFINITELY PUMPKIN TIME IN FRANCE, THEY WERE EVERYWHERE

FIGS EVERYWHERE IN THE SOUTH, REALLY EVERYWHERE !!!

THE WILD PIGS RUINED ALL THE GARDEN PATHS THE NIGHT BEFORE OUR VISIT.
As you can see is was definitely Autumn in the South of France, earlier than usual cos of the severe heath and drought they had for months on end. Here too we have an early Autumn.
There is more to come about our vacation in France so if you are interested watch my blog.
Have a great day and thanks for visiting.
Sorry for my silence but we just returned from our vacation in France. We were supposed to have wifi but it broke down and so I couldn’t keep my blog up.
We spend 2 weeks in the South of France and I took lots of photo’s so as of tomorrow I hope life will return to normal.

SOMETHING IS REALLY LOST…
          WHEN MUM CAN’T FIND IT.
I was working in the garden the other day and I saw a small heap of cut leafs so I wanted to flatten it and all of a sudden the heap began to buzz !! Then I saw the bee’s. That was 2 days ago, by now they are rebuilding the heap but it is not yet as high as it was. I looked them up in a book about bees and they are farmworm bees (colletus daviesanus).

THIS IS THE FLATENED HEAP MADE OF CUT LEAFS

THE ENTRANCE OF THE NEST IS UNDER THE YELLOW TWIG, ALAS THEY WERE TOO FAST FOR MY CAMERA TO GET A PHOTO OF THEM
Have a great day !
