A LITTLE SUNSHINE IN THE GARDEN IN WINTER
No matter how grey the weather is, some plants always make it look as if the sun shines. Last Summer I planted a few “Euonymus Emerald’n’gold” in some places in the garden, when all the flowers are out in Summer you don’t see them as there is so much colour already, but during the grey months they look like little gems. They are very easy shrubs, wintergreen, and you can keep them small by cutting them, you can cut them into all shapes or you can just let them grow.

A PRESENT
I received a present from an old lady the other day and I am pleased with it. I am always happy when I get a plant or flowers.
I was given a beautiful phaelenopsis, I know some people find it nothing special but I love orchids, what’s not to love about orchids ??? When you just look at their beauty you feel happier instantly !
PHAELENOPSIS
I have the same orchid in snowwhite with a purple heart, exactly the same colour as the new orchids colour.
THIS IS THE WHITE ONE
How can you not love orchids ?!!

TODAYS PICTURES
I just took a walk in my garden to see what was in bloom at the moment, not much but I found some.
WINTER HEATHER – ERICA CARNEA, easy plant, blooms a long time
VIBURNUM BODNANTENSE, the flowers are tiny, not really spectacular but they smell nice and bloom from Autumn till Spring. There are so many different Viburnums that you can have in the garden that you have Viburnum blooms 12 months per year !
HYACINT, this is not a bloom but a surprise, they are suposed to flower in March-April and it is only the 2nd of January today !!!
