Big and beautiful, that’s how I describe the AMARYLLIS. In a time where very few plants are in bloom you can always count on the amaryllis. You can buy them as bulbs and grow them inside your house but they are also for sale in every plantshop in Winter, in a pot in bloom or as cut flowers. The red ones are very popular for Christmas but they come in many colours. I was given a bunch as a gift and I was very pleased with it. Just looking at them made me happy.

I HOPE YOU WILL ALL HAVE A COLOURFUL,HAPPY AND HEALTHY 2020 !
I photographed these beautiful Nandina berries outside a church-turned-antique-artists place near the book fair. I was pretty certain they were Nandina berries, but in my web research, I discovered that Nandina domestics berries are actually POISONOUS to birds that frequently eat them (as well as cats, dogs, etc.). This article recommends either removing the plants entirely or at least cutting the berries off when they appear if you want to keep the shrubs (which have beautiful fall coloring).
It is no secret that every kid dreams of having a puppy. They often beg their parents all year for a dog. Of course, a Christmas puppy might sound like an adorable idea, but puppies are a lot of work! (Click title to read more!)
Hello, I am the last one in bloom of a bunch of sunflowers who got a chance to grow in October cos the birds in our garden dropped a few seeds and the weather cooperated also with warmth and rain .(see my post : “a late present” I posted earlier this month.
