It is the beginning of August and for us it is the middle of Summer but the heath and drought have ruined a lot of plants so now it looks like Autumn.
It is the second year in a row, I think we should start looking for plants that tolerate more heath and more drought.
I took this picture 2 days ago and now this tree is almost bare, all the yellow leafs have gone with the wind.
My gernaniums look all death, luckily I know they’ll come back when we have had a lot of rain and lower temperatures.
Even the hen’s and chicks are burned !!!! I have put most of my plants in pots in the shade but as we may not use the waterhose cos of the drought, I have to water them by hand, a huge job.

Painful to watch plants wilt in drought – my part of Texas went through a number of years of constant struggle to keep anything alive, let alone at its full beauty. Many things we once considered landscape staples just aren’t found in yards anymore, replaced with more tolerant species. An evolution through the climate fluctuations. So sad your garden is caught up in this crisis.

Drought is everywhere but floods too, some are getting no rain, others too much…

We lost a lot in the Chicago area, after our horrible winter. It’s so awful to see them like that.

The climat surely is changing everywhere, and not for the better !!! Greenland, the country of ice and snow is getting 30 C° (86 F°) these days !!

I’ve lost a couple of my house plants this year. Don’t know why exactly…but I had over 70, so losing a ciuple is no big deal. If we go too much longer without rain, I will have to hand water as well…they are all outside at the moment!

In the past we were always nagging about the rainy days, now we welcome them with open arms !!
