SILENT SUNDAY

about my garden, art and travelling, nature ,photography and a few words of wisdom

I can’t believe it is June already. The days are flying by and there is still a lot to do in the garden. I am trying to make the garden easier to maintain by planting many ground covering plants to contain the weeds. The weeds are growing in the crazyest places !! The garden looks green and lush at the moment, we had good warm weather but also a few cooler days with lots of rain.

There are more plants and bushes in bloom ofcourse but thats for next time.
I was late this year sowing the anuals so they are not in bloom yet. But the ones I bought for the windowsills are blooming nicely.
Take care !

As you can see June is a rose month. My whole garden is smelling of roses now !
Have a great week all ! And thanks for your visit !

CLEMATIS HAGLEY HYBRID BLOOMING IN MY GARDEN

HERE YOU CAN SEE MY YELLOW CANNA’S, BEHIND THE CANNA’S YOU CAN SEE A FUCHSIA BUSH, ON THE RIGHT YOU CAN SEE VERONICA VIGINICUM AND ON THE LEFT A BUTTERFLY BUSH

TOO MUCH TO NAME THEM ALL, IN THE BLUE POT YOU CAN SEE A MINI PETUNIA AND THE PLANT IN THE TERRACOTTA POT IS AN AEONIUM, THEY ARE ALL BAKING IN THE SUN

AND ANOTHER VIEW IN THE MIRROR, THE FENCE IS STILL NEW, WHERE THE FENCE IS WE USED TO HAVE A HUGE CONIFER HEDGE BUT OUR NEW NEIGHBOURS WANTED A FENCE AS ON THEIR SIDE THE CONIFERS WERE BROWN, I AM NOT REALLY HAPPY WITH THE FENCE BUT I HOPE THAT IN A FEW YEARS TIME IT WILL BE COVERED IN PLANTS

A FEW SCCULENTS IN A POT, ON THE RIGHT IS AN AUCUBA JAPONICA, ON THE GOUND YOU CAN SEE GERANIUM MACRORHIZUM AND A FEW SMALL DWARF RHODODENDRONS, ON THE LEFT IS A BIG POT WITH A HOSTA IN THAT IS ABOUT TO FLOWER, THERE IS A SMALL LEAFED IVY GOWING AGAINST THE FENCE, HOPING IT WILL COVER THE FENCE REALLY SOON

CLEMATIS HAGLEY HYBRID WILL ALSO COVER A BIT OF THE FENCE
