I took some pictures today of the flowers in bloom in my garden. I think June is about the prettiest month of the year.

This plant gives me a holiday feeling. It is not really winterhardy over here but wiTH a bit of help it will survive.

My Guirlande D’amour rose is in bloom and my whole garden smells of roses at the moment. Guirlande D’amour is a rambler rose, half double, snow white and has a lovely delicate smell. I have this rose in my garden for about 20 years now and she is beautifull when in bloom. I give it a cut in Autumn, just the longest branches and then in Spring it gets a good cut and a bit of dried cow manure, thats it. It keeps blooming till the frosts come, not as much as it blooms in June though.

You can’t see anything of the wooden bow as it is completely covered by the rose. This rose is also the favorite place for birds to make their nest in and for the bees of course, they just love it. And so do I.
Have a great day and thanks for your visit.

Now that the weather is warming up the ticks are comming back to life and they are not picky; humans, mammals, birds, as long as it can take blood, it’s ok for a tick.
My husband breeds birds as a hobby and the other day he needed some help as he noticed one of his birds had a huge tick next to it’s eye and I am the tick destroyer in our household as I have a few dogs and grandkids and a husband of course. And as ticks can be life threatening I check for ticks every day.
I removed the tick on the bird and the bird is ok now.

Have a great week and look out for ticks !!

The roses in my garden have hundreds of buds that will soon open up and change my garden in a lovely smelling place. I can hardly wait !!

Have a great weekend !!
