ALMOST IN BLOOM

SANSEVIERIA PARVA OR MOTHER-IN-LAW’ S TONGUE
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE FLOWERSTALK, THE FLOWERS ARE NOT OPEN YET.

As you know (or not) I love succulents and cacti and I have about 100 of them in pots as our climate is too cold in Winter and too wet to keep them in the garden. I have a small collection of sansevieria’s and this one is in bloom at the moment. I prefer them when when the flowers are still closed. All sansevieria’s are really easy to keep!!

Have a great week and keep safe !!

A PEEK IN MY GREENHOUSE

MY GRAPES ARE DOING GREAT, I HAVE SO MANY BIG BUNCHES THIS YEAR
MY TOMATOES STILL HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO AS YOU CAN SEE
IT WILL BE A HOT WINTER AS I HAVE SOOOOOO MANY HOT PEPPERS, THESE ARE RED PEPPERS SO THEY NEED TO GET THE RIGHT COLOR YET.

Our Summer is not very hot so far so everything is a bit later than usual. We get a lot of rain and rather cool temperatures but I’m not complaining. We do need all the rain we can get as we had several hot Summers in a row and there are not many reserves underground yet.

I hope you are all having a great time, enjoy your garden and take care !

Have a great week !

MY FAVORITE GERANIUM

GERANIUM ROZANNE

My favorite geranium is geranium Rozanne, when you look at the picture above you’ll probably know why, it’s the colour I LOVE !! And it is just such an easy plant, on top of it it blooms for a long time.

I hope you are all happy and healthy. Take care and have a great week.

my artistic evolution in intuitive painting — Carly Swenson, Visual Artist

I began intuitive painting back in 2014. I was trying to work through Julia Cameron’s The Artist Way for the second time. I found Flora Bowley’s Brave Intuitive Painting book while standing in line at a Michael’s and bought it on a whim. For Christmas, my parents bought me admission to her Bloom True intuitive […]

FROM BUD TO FLOWER

THIS IS HOW IT STARTED, A NICE FAT DAHLIA BUD ON JUNE 28TH
THE SAME BUD A FEW DAYS LATER ON JULY 1ST, IT ALREADY LOOKS LIKE A FLOWER
AND THIS IS THE FLOWER ON JULY 5TH

I think I just love dahlia’s, I don’t understand why some people say they are old fashioned. And they are sooooo easy to grow !!

Have a great day !
