Have a great day all !

YELLOW, THE COLOR OF THE SUN

I love the color yellow as it is a merry color and it reminds me of the sun, even on a grey day, yellow brings a bit of sun in your life so I love to use yellow in my home and in my garden. Mind you, at the moment we have a heath wave and plenty of sun and my garden is begging for cooler weather and rain, lots of rain!

Here are a few pictures of the yellows in my garden.

BEGONIA FEST

I have no words to describe the beauty of the begonia, they are considered “old fashioned” at the moment but it is such an easy plant, a beautiful plant with beautiful leafs and all sorts of different shapes and colors of flowers. What is  NOT to like ??? They love a shady place but they can stand a bit of sun too if they get enough water. They grow from bulbs, you keep the bulbs dry and frost free during winter and you plant them again in Spring (inside until the frosts have gone), year after year after year. I know an old lady who said she had her begonia bulbs for over 50 years !!!!

I took some pictures for you so you can see for yourselves.

And these are just a small choice of all the hundreds that exist.

Have a great weekend !!

PS YOU CAN FIND SOME OF MY PICTURES ON SHUTTERSTOCK, THERE IS A LINK FOR THAT ON MY “PAGES”.

A FEW RECENT GARDEN PICTURES

My garden is suffering at the moment, it has been hot and dry for quite a while now, not a drop of rain and my garden is not used to this sort of weather, I water my garden once every 2 or 3 days for as long as we are alloud to do so, some provinces in my country already have heavy water restrictions. I managed to take a few pictures of plants who still look good. A lot of plants and bushes have scorched leafs and look tatty.

I hope you’ll all have a smashing weekend !

WHAT DO YOU PREFER ?

What do you prefer, pictures in black&white or colour ?

As we live in a rather grey country I’d prefer colour anytime, colour is very important to me. How about you ?

Have a great week and thanks for your visit !
