Which one do you prefer, the b&w or the colored one ?
Have a great day !
We had our first frosts over here, yikes !!! We had so much rain lately so everything is very wet and then wham temperatures below zero, now my garden looks so sad. In the south they even had a layer of snow !! So all I can do is looking at the pictures I made of the flowers earlier this year.

This is a bulb-plant and comes in several colours and shapes. It is a relative of the Amaryllis.
You all know the amaryllis bulb as they bloom in December, most are bright red and huge but they come in many colours.
Nerine flowers in Autumn. They are not always winterhardy, they can take cold but not wet conditions. This one is nerine bowdenii and is one of the most hardy of them all. I found this one in an arboretum I visited earlier this year.
Have a great week, keep safe cos “the beast is back”.

In Spring I bought seeds of this annual malva as I love white flowers. This one is really easy to grow and it blooms for months on end, the big white flowers don’t turn brown when they fade away and that is a plus, you don’t have to remove the old brown flowers as you often have to do with white flowering plants. They also gave me lots of seeds, even the seedbuds are pretty so next year I am going to sow loads of these flowers and I’ll have lots of seeds to give away too.
For me this is winner !
Have a great weekend all and enjoy your garden if you can.

As you can see I haven’t much to show you for this month. As I told you before we have a really odd Summer this year with lots of rain and cold for the time of the year. Once in a while we have a nice sunny and warm day, sometimes 2 but that’s about it. Many of my flowers have rotted before they even could open. I go looking in my garden several times a day hoping there is a flower that is nice enough to take a picture of. I am not complaining, we didn’t have floods nor fire like many other parts in the world.
Take care and stay safe !

Yesterday was a nice day, dry for a change so we went to the arboretum to take a few pictures. Alas the rain and storms we had lately damaged a lot of flowers but I found some that were still beautiful.

I hope you are all ok. Take care and thanks for your visit !
