To remind you that we will see flowers again soon.

Greetings to you all.

ME(A)ET EATING PLANT

Plants that eat insects and small animals are quite fascinating but not for the  poor animals that drown in their juices…. But in Summer we visited some tropical greenhouses and they had some beautiful carnivorous plants.

I think these deadly flowers look really pretty but they hide several dead bodies inside, nature can be very cruel.

Have a great week and thanks for visiting my blog.

WITH RAINDROPS

Plants and flowers are so much prettier with raindrops I think. We had a bit of rain last night and this morning I saw how pretty it was so I took a few pictures for you.

AUTUMN, BUT STILL IN BLOOM

It is Autumn, the leafs are getting other colors, others already fell down but it still feels like Summer. The weather is still very warm, sunny and very dry over here, very unusual for October but the days are becomming shorter every day. So I took my camera and made a few pictures of all the colors in my garden at the moment.

PRIMA BALLERINA

Fuchsia’s look like dancing ballerina’s with a colorful dress, you cannot but love them and they are really easy plants, they are a bit tender and most are shade loving and like a bit of moist but some like a spot in the sun and others are really very winterhardy. But they all look pretty !

GIANT WATER LILY

Last week we visited a botanical garden in Meise near Brussels, and they had a huge greenhouse with plants from all over the world. One of those plants was the giant water lily (Victoria Amazonica), very impressive ! I had seen it on tv and on photo’s but not in real life.
