SILENT SUNDAY

about my garden, art and travelling, nature ,photography and a few words of wisdom

It is time to give your houseplants a bit of tlc, they are probably covered in a bit of dust so you can easily brush that off with some old soft paintbrushes, the small ones for the nooks and crannies (also handy for your cacti !!), the big ones for the big leafed plants. They’ll look better, they can breathe better and they can absorb the light better. Give them a bit of water and when the soils is moist again you can give them a bit of firtilizer, just a bit to start with.
Your plants will love you for this 😀
Have a great day !

EUPHORBIA SPECIES
As it is not much fun to be out in the garden at the moment I’ll show you one of my favorite indoor plants. We do have blooms in the garden but it is wet and windy and cold at the moment.
This one is a member of the huge EUPHORBIA family, some come with leafs, others with spines and some even have both leafs and spines. I am the proud owner of several euphorbia spieces, in my home and in my garden . They all get tiny yellow flowers. And they bloom for a long time.
I hope you are all ok and having fun. Take care and thanks for visiting.
Big and beautiful, that’s how I describe the AMARYLLIS. In a time where very few plants are in bloom you can always count on the amaryllis. You can buy them as bulbs and grow them inside your house but they are also for sale in every plantshop in Winter, in a pot in bloom or as cut flowers. The red ones are very popular for Christmas but they come in many colours. I was given a bunch as a gift and I was very pleased with it. Just looking at them made me happy.

A while ago I found a deer-head in a shop and it was love at first sight. I knew exactly where it had to hang, above the fire place and it front of the sofa, so I could look at it all the time as I regularly change it’s “outfit”. As we are in the Christmas season I decorated it with red pearls, for Easter it will get colourful Easter eggs in the ears and antlers, and something else for the 4 seasons or whatever I feel like.

Have a great end of the year and a great start in the early days of 2020, enjoy !!!

Have a great weekend all !
