We used to have a brush tree. However, our homeowners insurance folks requested that we remove it–being so close to one wall of our house and because of the potential of nearby fire occurrences. Our last big county fire came within a mile of our area– but still scary.

What a pity but I understand, floods are horrible but fires even more. We don’t have a problem with fires (yet) but often people demand to remove a tree cos of the falling leafs, that makes me angry. When you want to live in the countryside it is normal that trees and bushes have leafs that fall in Autumn, we have 4 seasons here. And we need trees !
