I took a picture of this iris when we were on holiday in the US, we were walking in a nature reserve and there it was, in a bog. I loved it so I tried to paint it.

These flowers remind me of my mother’s garden eons ago. Not much variety, not much care, but certain flowers just zoom me back home 60 years ago. Lovely.
