NEW ADDITION

I love succulents, but many of you already know that. I found one I didn’t have yet, it is a lot bigger than most of my other succulents. I keep them in a pot in the garden as they don’t like rain and cold in Winter so they overwinter in the greenhouse, however they survive in Winter outside but then they stuggle to get back to normal in Spring. This is the one with the biggest rosettes at the moment.

It was a very enjoyable walk and I hope we can visit this place often, they have a huge rosegarden but it was too early for them.

Take care and stay safe ! Thanks for visiting.

BEAUTY IN THE POND

Sorry for posting  so little lately but there is so much work in the garden. I never clean the garden in Autumn as it is better for the plants, for the soil and last but not least for wildlife !! So Spring is very hectic and I just don’t know what to do first at the moment. I have a lot of repotting to do,  garden plants as well as house plants. Everything is growing like mad at the moment and it is time to finally put some annuals in the windowsills. Last week we had a few days   with night frost so I kept my annuals in the greenhouse. Also the plants in the greenhouse grow like mad, several tomato varietes, courgettes, grapes, peppers….

But here is a picture for you that I made today of a flower in our pond.

More pictures will be posted soon, I hope 😀

Have a great week !

RED AND YELLOW

This year’s colour scheme for the front garden will be red and yellow. A few more days and we can finally put the annuals out. But first we might get a few nights of light frost despite day temperatures of arround 25 C°. Recently we changed our front garden, we removed all the plants and shrubs, then put dark grey pebbles everywhere and we added a few big rocks.  The front garden was just too time consuming. So now I have to make the place look more colourfull with flowers. So I thought about red and yellow. I’ll show you when it’s finnished ok.

AND LOTS OF YELLOW TAGETES

But I want more red and yellows as I have big pots. It is not easy to go to the garden center at the moment, they reopened only a week ago cos of the coronavirus. And in a few days other shops may open again but there are lots of rules to follow. Not in my wildest dreams I could imagine something that would have such an impact on our lives and of the lives of everyone on the planet.

Have a great weekend and stay safe !
