SNOWBALLS

Snowballs made of little white flowers, I think most of you know this bush who is covered with snowball-like flowers in Spring. When they first open the buds of the flowers are lime green and each day they get whiter and whiter.

FROM BUD TO FLOWER

It’s lilac time again ! Do you remember I showed you my lilac tree in bud 2 weeks ago ?

IT LOOKED LIKE THIS (syringa vulgaris Beauty of Moscow)

EXACTLY 2 WEEKS LATER IT LOOKS LIKE THIS

THIS IS A CLOSE UP, SOFT LILAC BUDS AND PURE WHITE FLOWERS

PRETTY AS A PICTURE ( I think)

As all the buds are blooming at the same time I put lots of them in vases for myself and the rest I gave to family and friends. Each year I remove all the flowers and each year I get lots of flowers back.

ALWAYS THE LAST ONE

My Albizzia tree is always the last one to get new leafs in Spring, at the moment it is still completely bare when all my other tree’s have fresh new leafs, but you can see the buds.

THE BEAUTY OF MISS BATEMAN

CLEMATIS MISS BATEMAN

Miss Bateman is on of the first clematis to bloom in Spring.This one has opened yesterday and then it still shows a soft green colour in the middle of the petals, when the flower gets more mature it will be snow white and the purple stamen will get darker.

I love clematis flowers but this one is one of my favorites (I have a weak spot for white flowers), it blooms in April-May-June, depending on the weather and then it comes back in August-September. This one is growing in my garden and it gets support from an ivy.

We also have a bit of rain today, I’m very pleased with it cos it was already bone dry allthough we had a very wet Winter.
