A LATE PRESENT

Now that the weather has changed from hot and dry to soft and wet, plants are starting to regrow. As we feed the birds with all sorts of seeds, including sunflower seeds, new sunflowers have started to grow, so I have sunflowers in bloom in the middle of October where as they normally are in bloom in June-July. And I absolutely love it !! So I have been busy with my camera. I have about 10 sunflowers in bloom at the moment, not only the one I show here.

IT STARTED WITH A BEAUTIFUL BUD
AND THEN THEY STARTED TO UNFOLD
THEY GREW BIGGER

THEY ARE NOW OPEN FOR BUZZY-NESS
I’M NOT SURE WHAT I LIKE BEST; THEIR FRONTS OR THEIR BACKS

Have a great weekend all and enjoy your garden when you can.

    1. I didn’t do anything really. We feed the birds in our garden with seeds and one of the birdfeeders contains sunflowerseeds, so the birds regularly drop a seed, others will pick it up but not all. Summer was hot and dry but for a while now we have soft and rainy weather so the sunflowers started to grow and I didn’t have the heart to pull them out, so now I have sunflowers in bloom. And they make me happy !!:D

    1. It is a happy flower, at least it makes me happy when I look at it and the bright yellow looks like the sun is shining, even on a grey day.:D

    1. I think so too, you have them in many forms and colors, tall with small flowers or with big flowers, small with big flowers, dark red…..
